- There are many local AARP chapters throughout the United States.
Onondaga Chapter 243
- AARP Onondaga Chapter #243 was formed on October 25, 1967.
- Membership grew to 589 by the early 2000‘s, due to interesting programs at chapter meetings, fun trips, volunteer opportunities, and even a bowling league.
- AARP Onondaga Chapter #243 meetings include speakers discussing senior issues, benefits, lifestyle and programs. Light refreshments, a brief business meeting, and socializing make for a pleasant afternoon.
- Helped save the EPIC program
- Our chapter offers opportunities to make a difference in your community through the following:
- The Outreach Committee provides information to the larger community.
- The Legislative Advocacy Team informs our legislators of the concerns of members.
- Community Service supports many local non-profit organizations and charities.
- Many benefits and services are provided by using your AARP Membership Card. Check it out.
